Vissilios Kostetsos S/S11

By Candace Cabrera Moore, Fashion Correspondent

The Vissilios Kostetsos S/S11 was entitled "Aella", and Greek ceramic vases were a common theme among many of the pieces. We saw the vases on each cheek of men's underwear and women's micro shorts. The collection also played with texture by layering small triangular leather strips to create a look of depth on everything from tees to dresses. We also saw the men's zip up vests done entirely in this layering medium, coming down the runway in both black and white.

For the beach, models donned nude one pieces with the aforementioned leather detailing across the bust. The leather strip layering was also done on the tops and bottoms of triangle bikinis- instant glamour!

The biggest wow factors for womenswear were two take-your-breath-away white sequined dresses. One, a mermaid, floor length sheath with an extravagant shoulder detail, and the other was a perfect party dress with a subtle sweetheart neckline and a skirt that swayed perfectly.

Hair was long, but swept up into a ponytail, and wide black headbands completed the look. Make up was copper on the cheeks, with burnt orange on the eyes and lips.

For men, we saw lightweight khakis, paired with slim button downs and scarves; and a really incredible grey suit with an overlay of beading. Yes, beading on a suit, and yes, it was genius.
